Many of our employees started in the forming field and worked their way up as they learned the necessary skills to grow their careers. We subscribe to making it a practice of training mentees into leaders and thus mentors and promoting from within the company. Our current Team Leads followed this path, starting as labourers and gaining experience in the field at the company over decades before stepping in as senior leaders and mentors.

We believe that strong leadership and continuous learning, along with a commitment to building a skilled and collaborative workforce will continue to be our focus.

Today’s leadership team guides the vision, the people, and the successful delivery of every client project – modelling the same principles established by our founder many years ago.

Careers

  • Principal

    Founded in 2001, Cory Janzen built the company from the ground up on the tenets of hard work, honesty, and integrity. Beginning his construction career alongside his father, he was taught the basics of concrete construction, while indoctrinating the intrinsic values of building solid relationships. These tenets helped Straightline Forming earn repeat business and build a reputation of excellence.

    Today, almost two decades on this has ingrained his commitment to building on Straightline Forming solid reputation.

  • General Manager

    Raised in a family rooted in foundational values, of hard work, integrity and honesty. Sam Prakash discovered that Straightine Forming aligned with these. Beginning his career in 2010 as a labourer moving through concrete forming roles, he worked his way up to the position of General Manager. Mandated with employing all aspects and coordination with construction projects. Sam's tethered dedication and quality workmanship have supported Straightline Formings’ vision for future years to come!

  • Yard Manager

    Trevor was taught at a young age that integrity and values are and continue to be the groundwork to be built on. This is evident with the pride he takes as a labourer, and in turn, his attention to detail was recognized and quickly became best suited to managing the yard and its inventory controls. His capabilities of implementing and coordinating effective delivery schedules coupled with team management have made him an asset to Straightline Forming.

  • Bookkeeper

    In 2002 Yessenia began her career in bookkeeping. Joining our team in 2009, she brought her expertise which she then grew her knowledge base and quickly became an asset to our company. She currently runs the office and all things accounting and takes great pride in creating systems that manage assets and company structures.

  • Layout Technician

    Harold Janzen is a highly experienced construction professional with a long and impressive history in the industry. For over three decades, he has been an integral part of Straightline Forming, one of the leading construction companies in the region.

    Throughout his career, Harold has built a reputation as a skilled and dedicated worker, always striving to achieve the highest standards of quality and excellence in his work. He has worked on numerous high-profile projects, both large and small, and has earned the respect and admiration of his peers in the industry.

    Harold's expertise in the field of construction is wide-ranging, including everything from concrete forming and pouring to steel reinforcement and finishing work. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence have helped him to establish himself as one of the most trusted and reliable professionals in the industry.

    Over the years, Harold has played an important role in the growth and success of Straightline Forming, helping to establish the company as a leader in the field of construction. His knowledge and experience have been invaluable in helping the company to tackle even the most complex and challenging projects.

    Today, after more than 19 years with Straightline Forming, Harold continues to work tirelessly to ensure that every project he is involved with is completed to the highest standards of quality and excellence.
